    Are all nutritionists required to submit reports to FSE 2.0?

    Yes, starting March 31, 2026, all nutrition professionals are required to comply: biologist nutritionists registered with the National Association of Biologists (ONB), registered dietitians, and medical nutritionists. This requirement applies to both freelancers and those working in private practices. The regulation was introduced by Legislative Decree 34/2020 (Relaunch Decree) and subsequent implementing provisions.

    What documents must be submitted to the ESF for nutritional counseling?

    The nutritionist must submit a nutritional report documenting: dietary history, anthropometric measurements (height, weight, BMI, circumference), nutritional diagnosis with ICD-10 code (e.g., E66 obesity, E11 diabetes, E40-E68 malnutrition), personalized meal plan with calorie targets and macro/micronutrient distribution, and clinical notes related to follow-up. The document must be in HL7 CDA2 format and digitally signed.

    How long does it take to send the nutritional report to the FSE?
