BeebeeDoc, the alternative to Doctolib
Doctolib and BeebeeDoc do not do the same thing, and anyone comparing them is usually deciding two things at once: where to keep the calendar and where patients should come from. This page separates the two questions, with data from the public websites in September 2026.

In one line
Doctolib is first of all a portal where patients book, and around the portal there is software for the practice. BeebeeDoc is only the practice's software: it does not bring new patients, it manages the ones you have. They are two costs answering two different problems, and sometimes they coexist.
What Doctolib states on its site
The Italian homepage is aimed at patients: «prenota online la tua prossima visita medica», with lists of specialists by city and by speciality. It is a place where people look for a doctor, not a software price list.
For professionals there is Doctolib Pro, presented as «the software for patient management». The dedicated pages are contact forms: you leave your specialty and contact details, and the team calls back for a free demo.
No price is published, neither on the patient side nor on the professional side. You find out the cost after the demo, and it depends on what you are offered.
What BeebeeDoc does, and what it does not do
BeebeeDoc has no patient portal and does not send you appointment requests from an external marketplace. If the problem is finding new patients, this page is not selling you the solution: we tell you now, not after the demo.
What it does is keep the practice's work in order: calendar shared with online bookings on your site, clinical record, consents, invoices and receipts with sending to the SdI and the Sistema TS, video call e automatic reminders.
The price is written down: from 45 € a month for one account up to 179 € for ten, minus 17 per cent on the annual plan, no activation cost. Fifteen days of trial no card and no appointment with anyone.
The two can coexist: some people keep a profile on a portal to be found and run the practice elsewhere. It is worth adding up the two costs before deciding, instead of picking just one to save money.
The differences in a table
| Doctolib | BeebeeDoc | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is for | Booking portal plus software for the practice | Software for the practice |
| Where patients come from | From the portal too, which has its own traffic | From your own channels: website, word of mouth, ads |
| Price on the website | Not published | Full price list, from 45 €/month |
| How to get started | Contact form and demo with the team | Sign up and try it immediately |
| Free trial | Not stated on the site | 15 days, no card |
When Doctolib is the right choice
- If the calendar has gaps and the real problem is new patients, a portal with its own traffic does something no practice management software does: it puts you in front of whoever is searching right now.
- If you have just opened in a city where nobody knows you, visibility is worth more than any invoicing feature.
- If your patients are already used to booking there, moving them elsewhere is a cost you pay in phone calls.
When BeebeeDoc is the better choice
- If you already have the patients and what you are missing is the rest: documents, consent forms, electronic invoices, Sistema TS, Electronic Health Record.
- If you want online bookings to arrive on your own website and stay yours, without going through a directory that also lists whoever works in the next street.
- If you need a predictable cost to put in the budget without waiting for a quote.

How to move from Doctolib to BeebeeDoc
If your calendar is on a portal today, the first question to ask is what format you can export appointments and patient details in. The work starts from there: an expert looks at the data, plans the move and follows the setup: about a week to set everything up, usually two for the migration itself. Theonboarding support is included in the subscription.
Frequently asked questions about BeebeeDoc and Doctolib
No, and we do not promise it: BeebeeDoc manages the patients you already have and the bookings that come from your own channels. To be found by people who do not know you, other tools are needed, portals included.
Yes, and it is a common choice. The point to check is who keeps the authoritative diary, because two diaries that do not talk to each other produce double bookings: it is worth deciding which of the two is in charge.
There is no amount on the website: the pages for professionals are forms to obtain a free demo, and you learn the price by speaking to their team. BeebeeDoc publishes it: from €45 a month for one account.
On your site and your channels, with the hours and services you set. There is no public directory of professionals where you appear alongside others.
It depends on what you can export from the system you are leaving: it is the first thing to ask. Whatever comes out in a readable format can be imported, and a dedicated expert plans it with you.
To the data controller, that is, to the practice. It is the question to put to any supplier before signing, because the answer decides whether you can change later: from BeebeeDoc the data is exported in formats readable outside the platform.
No. They book from the practice's availability page without creating an account on a portal, and receive the confirmation by email. Every extra step between the patient and the booking is a booking that risks not being completed.
The patient can cancel from the link they received, and the slot frees up at that same moment. Anyone waiting for a place is on the waiting list and is called back from there.
